Leona Lewis confirms new single for October release

Leona Lewis has a new single on the way, but it won’t be out until October.
The boring Brit diva’s comeback track, titled “Trouble”, was reportedly penned by Emeli Sandé and produced by Naughty Boy, who was behind about 50% of Sande’s debut album, Our Version of Events.

Is “Trouble” just going to be an Emeli Sandé song sung by Leona Lewis? I was about to throw shade at that, but now that I think about it, that would probably sound good.

In other news, I’m in Melbourne in a really gross internet cafe right now. They just payed that horrible new Nicki Minaj song on the radio, the one that sounds exactly like “Starships”. #Hell. Now Florence is on and I’m being #slayed.

I’m excited to hear this, the new song she performed at the Hackney Weekend (“Come Alive”) is really different to anything else she’s done and I’m loving it :)

I can’t wait her Sia-penned demo “Blank Page”!

    October? Still too late.

Just a silly correction: it is Emeli Sandé, not Emile. And yes, it makes totally sense: if you imagine, songs like ‘Heaven’ and “Next to Me’ fits perfectly Leona’s voice and style – both hit #2 on UK charts. NOW I’m KINDA excited about this album.

I thought Heaven was by Leona Lewis the first time I heard it so can’t think of a more fitting team.

I loved Come Alive, it really shows her musical growth compared to Collide which was two steps back in growth.

Saying that I am not a giant fan of any of Emeli’s songs, they can be quite predictable. I just hope Trouble has the same excitement and edge of Come Alive.

Would it not be more fitting for her to release a song to coincide with the olympic performance for international audiences?

Then the album release promotions would coincide with the Olympics at a later date anyway…

oh my goodness. i think its so funny when you have your asides concerning where you are and what songs your are listening to. and yes, pound the alarm sounds exactly like starships and those 2 songs are so generic and boring and are only singles for commercial success.
oh well. hopefully this is just her label’s way of stretching out the RR era as much as possible to sell as many albums and singles as possible…
i just hope they get to the good songs before the end of the world or her next era!!!!!!

Emeli Sande is my homegirl and “Our Version of Events” is a flawless album… I love Leona so if she could put out an album that good I’d be so damn happy tbh.
