Legend X Makes the World Move on ‘The Voice’

The one and only Legend X finally decided to perform a song from her Lotus album last night, but it wasn’t her criminally underrated non-comeback single “Your Body”. Instead, she opted for the Cee Lo collaboration “Make The World Move”, which turned out to be a sufficient replacement for “Your Body” once Xtina left everybody in The Voice studio wigless and crying.

Aggie finally looked amazing during a major performance for once, and she sounded as good as ever. Her signature shouty soul diva vocals were still there, but she only went overboard and bit off more than she could chew during one moment towards the end, which is much better than doing it every five seconds like she usually does.

The Bionic beauty served up Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette realness with her look, and even lived up to her Queentina moniker by wearing a fucking crown. I’d like to think that more performances like this delivered a month ago would have helped Lotus and “Your Body”, but they probably wouldn’t have made a huge difference. It’s all about airplay and scoring hits to sell albums, and Legend X doesn’t have a hit. Lotus is currently being outsold by the likes of The Weeknd and Lana Del Rey on iTunes, which is deserved since both artists delivered better albums than Xtina, but I still want to see the Kween back on top.

Here’s hoping that the Lotus era picks up steam once RCA inevitably ship “Let There Be Love” to radio.

    While I’m obsessed with Lotus and have it on replay ever since it leaked on web, I didn’t really enjoy the performance. I expected more, this was just cheap and it felt like there’s something wrong with Queentina’s pipes… The hair and outfit – awful! I do like the fact that she wore a crown.
    Regarding your comment that Lotus doesn’t have hits I have to strongly disagree! Lotus is a flowless pop album, evolution of Stripped era with influences of B2B and Bionic, it contains everything, from great and fun dance tracks to heartfelt ballades with actual meaningful lyrics and lastly to awesome crazy, cheeky, hilarious songs like circles and shut up. There are many potential hits: Army of Me, Make the World Move, Blank Page, Let There Be Love, Just A Fool and Cease Fire as long as it receives the right treatment in sense of promotion.

    And yes, I’m a stan, she’s my ultimate fave! xD

    The producers had them perform this song 3 times. They recorded it 3 separate times and for some reason decided to air the last and third take. That is why she was out of breathe and that note was such a mess. Sources who were there said she nailed it the first two times but on the third take as you can see she was out of breathe and her voice was worn.

    I like the album, but she´s overscreaming too much, its getting annoying, she doesn´t need to, she has a great voice! The performance was good, LOL at the intro, though, i thought I was about to see Shakira coming out XD, but you´re right Proph, she cracked near the end

    The problem with X is she is a despicable human being and people see that. She is unlikeable and not as talented as she thinks she is. This album will FLOP.That’s the truth and you all know it.

    She needs to dig deep and give us the bluesy, rootsy, rocked out Stripped v2.5. Or something.

    If her promotion and performance doesn’t immediately improve, ‘Lotus’ is done. It’s a good pop album, but it’s still not ‘Back to Basics’. Christina needs to realize she just jumped back in time with this album … A little too far, and a little too generic. Don’t get me wrong, the songs are fun…. But all I see in her performance is her trying to be everyone else… I don’t see the sassy X-Tina from 2002-2006 anymore

    I think Kiki is pretty much the Faith Hill of pop. When Faith thought Shania had gone for good and finally the Land of Country was hers to reign, Carrie arrived. And now Taylor is most likely the queen of country.

    The same with Kiki: when she thought nobody wanted the smallest part of a piece of Britney and the Golden Crown of Pop finally would join her collection of tacky items that she’s so proud, Gaga was born that way. And now Taylor is most likely the queen of pop.

    This performance was good, XTina looked amazing and I was a bit O_o at that bit at the end but apparently they recorded this 3 times in a row and the first 2 she did it perfect so I dunno why they aired this version but it was good anyway.

    I think a few more performances would have helped sales but I agree about radio play, I don’t know why radio stations are boycotting her because “Your Body” is PERFECT for radio It’s really sad and pathetic how the industry works with stuff like that, I haven’t heard “YB” once on Radio 1 over here and they didn’t even ad it to their C list but Stooshe’s shitty cover of TLC’s “Waterfalls” gets on the B list and only charted 1 spot higher than “YB” with way more radio play.

    Radio can be so fucking annoying, Like Radio 1 refusing to play Robbie Williams (really good) new song because he’s “not relevant to young people” and then it debuted at No1 on the highest sales of a male artist this year and has been at No1 for 2 weeks now, Radio needs to get a grip.

    She is as talented as she thinks she is… and she isn’t despicable she’s just bitchy, she does tons for charity and doesn’t go about using it as a PR tool like others, maybe if she did or gave enough of a fuck about peoples opinions to do that people wouldn’t think she’s such a bitch.

    Either way that has nothing to do with “Lotus” or “YB” performance, people have always known she was bitchy… The issue is no promo from herself or RCA and lack of airplay.
