Legend X and King Blake slay “Just a Fool” on Ellen

Legend X, comin’ atcha!
Queentina somewhat redeemed herself from the AMAs on Ellen yesterday with a CD quality performance of her Blake Shelton duet, “Just a Fool”. Shelton was there, too, and of course he phucking slayed it like a King. He’s not a three-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year winner for nothing!
If Legend X finally delivering a flawless performance hasn’t shocked you enough, then hold on to your wig for this: SHE ALSO GAVE A NICE INTERVIEW! Yes, Xtina finally stopped being a total douche and served up some good old fashioned charm during her sit down chat with Ellen. Whatever Trainrecktina’s doing lately, she needs to keep it up, because I love seeing her snatch even more than I love watching her screw up.
“Just a Fool”, which was wisely selected as Lotus‘ second single, is currently No. 59 on iTunes, which isn’t too bad when you consider what a flop this era has been so far. Since it’s a country crossover song, it’ll take a while to build at radio before we start seeing any real results, but hopefully it’ll become a moderate hit and open the door for another single down the line. The song really suits Legend X, and as much as I stan for her Chris Brown remix “Let There Be Love”, she should probably stick to more adult music like rock, country, ballad, and whatever “Red Hot Kinda Love” is. As far as the charts are concerned, the whole pop lean just ain’t workin’ for Aggie any longer.
P.S. I wish Legend X did a straight-to-DVD sequel to Burlesque co-starring Diana Ross.
