I completely agree w/ all of the GaGa fans. And so what if Britney can play the piano?? That’s not the point that was trying to be made. The point is that Britney does not SING. A signer is supposed to *drumroll please* SING! OF course, dancing is important too because it’s part of being a performer, but Britney shouldn’t be considered the Queen of Pop if she can only dance and not sing (especially when she hasn’t even been dancing like she used to). Britney is not growing as an artist and the same cannot be said for GaGa. Since Britney has been around for so long, I expect a lot more from her than I currently see from singles like “3.” What’s more, Britney should be ashamed of not writing her own music – yes, the bitch is filthy rich but come on now…That’s not to say that I’m not excited about her new music. I think that “Circus” was an overall good album, but like I said she is just not growing as an artist – she just lip syncs whatever is thrown at her and she doesn’t even look like she likes her job. Her apathetic attitude shows and it’s really pathetic. What’s more pathetic is that people will buy her music regardless of how bad it is – but it is what it is.

I also agree with a comment I read above about how everyone is following in the footsteps of Gaga…who really revolutionized pop music at the end of decade. Gaga’s timing was perfect and the Fame really brings electropop and yes, even disco-pop to life. And I disagree about her being selfish and only caring about rising to stardom, hence the title “the fame.” If you are a true gaga fan and a somewhat intelligent person, you’d note that “the fame” applies to EVERYONE. Her message is that she wants everyone to experience being famous through her music. Come on guys, you all know you want to be rich so don’t even. Oh and why do you think Beyonce brought it a little too HARD at the grammy’s? She was trying to emulate Lady Gaga’s performance, and failed. I have a lot of respect for Beyonce, don’t get me wrong, but she needs to focus on her own style because she was too much that night.

I’m not really excited about xtina’s album – but then again I’m not a huge fan, nevertheless it’s exciting to see how all of these huge artists put the ‘electro’ in pop in their own unique way.

Gaga´s little monsters till death do us part!

Im getting worried about GaGa. She’s working herself out. She cancelled her tour because of dehydration & such. She’s pushing herself.
Isnt that what happened to Britney Spears, which was one of the reasons to her breakdown.

Also, someone said that Beyonce held her profile together. Well Beyonce didnt have 100 papparazzis following her everywhere as Britney Spears had.

Yeah sure, she’s sold 80 million albums and has cemented her status as a pop icon or whatever. But that took time. GaGa has only been out for about one and a half years and look what she’s done already! 8 million albums and don’t forget the 35+ million singles? Times that by how long Britney has been around (10 years) and look at your result. I think that in time, GaGa will prove all of you wrong and will be BIGGER than Britney EVER was.

Britney can sing a little (not live that’s for sure), can dance, can dress at times. But where does it go from there?

GaGa can sing (live too!), can dance, can DRESS (for sure), designs her own stage, plays an actual instrument (true musician), and most of all, actually WRITES her own material.

GaGa will be an icon soon enough, if not, she IS already a pop icon. A true pop icon.
