Kreayshawn is back with “Go Hard (La.La.La)”
Kreayshawn didn’t deserve to flop with “Breakfast”. It was a certified banger and it opened my hatin’ eyes to the brilliance of Kreay baby! But “Breakfast” was probably a lil’ too hip-hop for Billboard’s Hot 100 chart to handle right now, so Kreay has gone pop for her new single “Go Hard (La.La.La.)”.
Don’t freak out though — just because I said the ‘p’ word, doesn’t mean that Kreayshawn’s gone all “Starships” on our asses. It’s still urban, with producer DJ Two Stacks Boyz Noize cooking up an electro-hop beat that sits somewhere between Diplo and Robyn era Robyn.
Kreayshawn drops her usual tongue-in-cheek raps over the top, obnoxiously telling a broke bitch to run “[her] own show” and not be on some “hoe shit”.
I was just telling somebody the exact same thing this morning.
The official music video is a fantastic mess of cartoon vomit, color, and men dressed up as dancing zoo animals. Think of it as Japan’s Kyary Pamyu Pamyu gone American white trash.
“Go Hard” is no “Breakfast”, “Bumpin’ Bumpin’”, or “Summertime”, but I’ll take it over any of that Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj shit in a heartbeat.
