Kid Cudi enlists Drake & Josh Hartnett for “Pursuit of Happiness” music video

Hipster rapper Kid Cudi has confirmed to MTV that the long-awaited music video for his third single “Pursuit of Happiness” will finally be released soon. He also surprisingly revealed that his HBO co-star Josh Hartnett will produce the clip, whilst Canadian rapper and good friend Drake will make a cameo.

I just saw the first rough cut the other day. Drake is in it. He has a cameo … a bunch of my homies that I knew coming up. We were just kicking it. When you see the video, it just makes me feel good, because I’m seeing all my friends and people that matter in my life. We were all celebrating. It’s like a New Year’s Eve-type thing. Everybody’s just getting wasted.

It’s about time that they released this video because the single already peaked at #59 in the beginning of October.

Anyways you can currently catch Cudi opening for Lady GaGa on her tour, and you can look out for his new HBO TV series “How to Make it in America” starring Josh Hartnett to air next year.

bout time we get a video for this. sounds like a dope video but for some reason i imagined this video being cudi walkin on the moon with cool looking/evil smiley faces rolling past, with MGMT in the background and special effects (blurryiness from drinking, etc.)…crazy i know but it sounds better in my head. lol. anyways, im hopin for the best for cudi because his music is dope

  2. Dante Says:

the GaGa fanbase will do wonders for him

  3. Maniac Says:

Are Drake and Kid Cudi dating, they’re always together… cute.

  4. The Prophet Says:

I dont think GaGa’s fanbase would really be into Cudi much, which is weird since he’s opening on tour for her. His music is a lot more alternative, whereas GaGa’s is super commercial.

They really messed this single up with waiting so long for the video, but I didn’t think it would be a hit anyways. I dont think he will have many hit singles anymore, and he’ll just end up as more of an albums artist.

They’re so stupid they should have been thinking like this…

    1. Day n Nite
    2. Make Her Say
    3. Enter Galatic
    4. Cudi Zone
    5. Up Up and Away

Josh Hartnett? I thought he had evaporated into the atmosphere on New Years Eve ’99.

Seriously, Where has he been this decade? He ruled the 90′s.

sometimes I wonder if the person writing this blog is qualified to run an entertainment blog. Gaga’s music is “super commercial”? really? since when did success equate to “super commercial”. Tell me anyone on the radio who sounds like Gaga right now. Her music is more Euro poppish and that type of music is not even big in America so I don’t know you can call it super commercial. FYI, I don’t even like Gaga but that’s the most stupid comment I have read since your comment about Britney Spears being a better dancer than Beyonce. I see a trend…lmao. Rejected staff writers from mto should stop running blogs. Seriously. SMH

OMG! Prophet, I know you hate the man but just wanted to let you know that R. Kelly has jumped on the bandwagon. He has a Europopish song featured on his new album “Untitled” Its terrible. The rest of the album is okay though.
There’s a track featuring Tyrese Robin Thicke and The-Dream.

  9. The Prophet Says:

I refused to download it but I have a feeling I’d love the album coz I stan for number one sex haha

  10. The Prophet Says:

    Afrika.

    There you go question answered.

  12. The Prophet Says:

    They’re my men!
