Keri Hilson and Ciara set to collaborate next year?

Mid-level R&B girls Ciara and Keri Hilson might be hooking up in 2011 for a Polow Da Don-produced collaboration. The urban hitmaker broke the news via Twitter, and then vowed that Miss Keri Baby is set to become twice as big as she already is now.

“KERI/CIARA COLABO IN 2011,” the caps lock happy producer Tweeted. “KERI WILL BE 2 OR 3 TIMES BIGGER NEXT YR”.

Polow then continued, attempting to put to bed rumors that Keri and Ciara are locked in some kind of feud.

“THEY’VE KNOWN EACH OTHER SINCE THEY WERE 14…. ME CIARA KERI LLOYD AKON LUDA TI JEEZY AND JAZZE ALL STARTED FROM NOTHING…… #ITSALLLOVE”

Keri and CiCi’s rumored beef goes back almost two years now. It first started with online speculation that Keri Hilson’s infamous “Turnin’ Me On” remix was a thinly-veiled diss to Ciara and Beyonce. Tensions were then reignited last week when Ciara made some comments on her Twitter that some people speculated may have been related to Keri Hilson, who at the time had just admitted on Hot 97 that she hoped her new album No Boys Allowed would sell more than Basic Instinct. Ciara then ‘unfollowed’ Keri on Twitter.

Is Polow just wishful thinking, or is this collaboration actually in the works? The answer should provide the true tea on whether or not Keri and Ciara actually have any kind of feud. It’s a little confusing, especially since Ciara’s latest Tweets are some cryptic messages about trying to make friends with somebody that has “bad intentions towards you”, and how “humility is the key to success”.

Any publicity is good publicity.

In brighter news, Keri’s No Boys Allowed album is set to debut at #11 on the Billboard 200 with between 90-110k.

    After Breaking Point dropped as the lead single, I think it’s safe to say no one was really checking for Keri’s softmore effort. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome though! No Boys Allowed has a good handful of sleek urban gems! The same can’t be said about Basic Instinct lol….

    No Boys Allowed is a great R&B/Pop album! If only she would’ve included the bonus tracks on the actual tracklisting cause it’s quite short considering she had 14 songs on IAPW. I love the variety on this album though! One Night Stand, Buyou and Gimme What I Want are guaranteed hits for her as well as Lose Control. Won’t Be Long feat. Timbaland is a hot pop song too. I’m very impressed by Ms. Keri Baby, I wish she’d get in the Top 10 though.

    As for the collabo.. LOL. I don’t know how I feel about it, I’m sure it’s for publicity but to go for Ciara’s album sales was a low blow, fake or not. I mean, we know she was flopping but Keri put her ass on blast lol.

    And I agree with the person above that said “No Boys Allowed” was a great album (minus “The Way You Love Me”), and as far as Ciara goes, I bought her album because Im a fan for life! I just hate that 6 of the songs that were on the cd, I already heard before her release. I just want these two to continue making good music for me to groove to :)

    I dont think that there is really any issues between them. Just because you dont follow someone on Twitter dont mean you hate them. Until we see them physically at each others throats then its just all business; getting our dollars.

    I played through the previews of Keri’s album and even from those she came out with the better album. I still dont know if I should buy Ciara’s album, I downloaded it but its all over the place. Fantasy Ride was a more decent effort than Basic Instinct. FR’s had the stand out tracks which can hold their own against all of Ciara’s work but BI, apart from Ride, everything else is left overs/just plain outright shit. Speechless, no one really wants to hear Ciara sing. We all know she cant but we like her for her dance and performance. Where she lacks in one area she makes up for it in the other. Gimme Dat; hot film clip but god awful track. That track is just shit straight out of the ass before its hit the toilet water. U Got Me was the buzz track she needed but everything else is left overs. Ciara should maybe rerelease Ride, it may fair better a second time.

    Hopefully next year is a better year for Ciara, this year was just shocking. Keri had a pretty good year though.

    keri new album sold 102,000 copies accoring to billboard. In a Perfect Word is 94k. so that mean she is increasing and staying consistent. Pretty girl rock is #42 on hott 100. that show that she is getting better and marking her territory in the game. i still remember when the haters said keri would never see the hott 100 without a feature. Well here it goes she #42 without a feature on the hott 100

    Hey Prophet! I’ve been noticing that as a trend right now in music. All leaked tracks are stronger than the final album cuts. Same with bonus tracks. Keri, Ciara, Toni and others. Same thing with Ciara’s last record.

    I HIGHLY doubt this would happen.

    To be honest, i don’t see Ciara doing much of anything next year aside from what she did this year minus the record deal. Walk around with Kim K and be a supermodel. Now that she won’t be in the studio anymore, she has more time to shop with Kim, and she may even get a spot on one of Kim’s Reality Shows!
