Kelly Clarkson’s new “Garbage-meets-pop-meets-Muse” album due next Xmas
Pop-rock diva Kelly Clarkson has opened up a little more about her upcoming fifth album to an Atlanta radio station earlier this week, describing the project as “different” to her previous albums.
“We’re already working on it but it’s probably not going to hit until, like, the fourth quarter of next year — around Christmas next year,” she told the station. “There’s still some like singer/songwriter stuff [on the album], but there’s … I don’t know. It’s almost like Garbage-meets-pop-meets-Muse. It’s a little different.”
“I don’t know how it’s going to end up. Who knows?” she said. “It always ends up being something completely different.”
This is all well and good, but I wouldn’t exactly hold Kelly to her word. Remember when she said that All I Ever Wanted was also inspired by Garbage? If you ask me the only the only garbage on All I Ever Wanted were those awful Katy Perry leftovers.
I think Kelly just plays around in the studio with a variety of different sounds until Clive Davis storms in, puts a gun to her head and makes her record a stack of Max Martin & Ryan Tedder demos.

My December is my favorite Kelly album, follwed closely by Breakaway of course.
i don’t care no normally for her. but this may be suprisingly good. a mix between garbage/muse/dance funk. this album may be a electronic/poprock fusion.
electronic/pop-rock is the same thing that she did in All I Ever Wanted, Garbage-meets-pop-meets-muse-dance funk? well thats like All I Ever Wanted meets Miss Indepentent song, looks good cuz I like All I Ever Wanted and Miss Independent (even I prefer My December).
And About the Garbage Influence in the album they say that Impossible is the only track influenced by them, but in my opinion All I Ever Wanted (song), Impossible, If I Can Have You and the The Day We Fell Apart (the bonus track), Im a fan of Garbage so I know what I’m talking about, And I love Garbage, Muse and not big fan but I like have some funky stuff in some time, so if Kelly do all that it has been saying is this album is going to explote, but like she says all end different I mean you heard the demos of All I Ever Wanted and all was compleatly diferent from this, the demos that I heard were like indie/acustic/rock like My December..but when I heard All I Ever Wanted is very poppy I was like “what a hell happen” then I remember the Clive Fucking Davis thing and I was like..”well everything is normal..i think” but with this “dancefunk/electrorock/pop-rock” stuff that she is saying is not so diferent to the commercial stuff that she did like i say All I Ever Wanted/Miss Independent, so I hope Davis don’t have any problem with this….or I will make a call and kill him.

I’m sorry but she can sing just to me R&B, Pop, Funk and Motown, nothing more nothing less, she try Rock with her cover or Alanis Morrissette and If I Were A Boy and doen’t work to me..I mean I prefer Bitchney Spears singin Alanis cover than Beyonce, She try Soul/Neo-Soul and doen’t work too Kitty Kat and Me, Myself & I the two the most boring tracks in the world, Acoustic Ave Maria and othr crappy songs from the crappy album I Am Sasha Fierce and doen’t fit too, Electro with Sweet Dreams..I prefer the acoustic version or the intro of the EMA’s with the drums more than the original shitty version and for last but not least Hip Hop….I believe more Rihanna trying to be a “Hard” than B’ with her Diva/Phone shit that is jus the same.
Kelly sing Pop, Rock, R&B, Soft Rock, Indie, Funk (she prove it on her tour singing If and Rock With You and in AI singing the amazong cover of Respect and her own songs Walk Away and Miss Independent), Soul, Acoustic, Electrorock/pop, Sou, Gospel, Country, Adult Contemporary, Alternative Rock, Folk and Some Urban (Listen the amazing bonus from All I Ever Wanted, Tip Of My Tongue) and all always work for her for her easy going voice, B’ have the tipycal R&B/Pop diva voice that all the time we heard, I don’t hate B’ but you can compare to Kelly.

Haha I loved the last bit. ‘All I Ever Wanted’ was originally supposed to have a pop/rock/bluesy sound…. not quite how it ended up!! So who knows what the next will sound like. I did hear her say it was going to have a pop/rock/electronic sound…..I have to admit the electronic bit freaks me a little, not because I think she couldn’t pull it off (she can sing anything) it just seems a waste of an amazing voice.
Whatever Kelly does is always great! Her voice and performances always sell her music. She’s truly a gifted artist; unlike some other people she’s never sold out or been gimmicky just pure vocal power!
Also, side note Clive Davis was demoted last year in RCA records. The guy who replaced him is Barry Weiss. I think Clive’s main focus these days is Whitney Houston.
