Kelegend Clarkson performs hits medley on Ellen, and does charity work in South Africa.

Don’t ask why, but Kelly Clarkson was on Ellen this week to perform a medley of her hits. Unless it was promotion for American Idol, it seems a tad random, but I’m certainly not complaining — I could watch Kelegend sing the phonebook and still beg for more.
Kelly showed why she’s more talented than your faves by performing “Miss Independent”, “Walk Away”, and her signature tune “Since U Been Gone”. I’m glad to see she’s still doing “Walk Away”, because I’ll never get sick of that opening part, “you’ve gotcha mother and your brother every other undercover!” It’s just too catchy for words!
But the most defining part was when Kelly slightly changed the ending of “Since U Been Gone”, and said “Since that loser’s been gone”, in a subtle yet spiteful diss to whichever guy was the latest one to stomp on her heart.
In other news, Darkchild has spoken out about the song he recorded with Kelly for her upcoming album. No, Kelegend hasn’t gone all urban on us: It’s a pop/rock song.
“A song call “I Forgive You” that me and Lauren Christy did that’s just crazy pop-rock. The first person who came into my head to do it was Kelly Clarkson. So I sent it immediately and got a response that night. She came out to record, the energy was great and I just finished mixing it. She nailed it. It turned out great.”
Darkchild also added in his two cents about Kelly’s label pushing her album back to the year 2015, insisting that it’s a good move in the long run.
“I think it’s a smart decision. With Doug [Morris] coming in [as Sony Music CEO] but not until July, it’s better to wait, get cool with him, understand what he wants do and all that. But I’m confident in the record that we did. And even though the album was pushed back, I think we can get back into the studio to do a couple more things.”
Besides recording her next masterpiece, Kelly also took some time out of her busy schedule of complaining about her record label to do a little charity work in South Africa. She is so kind and generous — the singing Mother Theresa!
