Kelly Clarkson is “All over the place” on new album
Kelly Clarkson continues her tradition of being musically schizophrenic before the release of each new album by admitting to Billboard that “all over the place” between country, pop and acoustic for her upcoming album.
“We have several songs already penned for the next album. I actually just was e-mailing a couple of writers and producers that I’m working with for the next album, and they’re everywhere, there’s everything from beats to more singer-songwriter country stuff to major pop stuff so it’s all over the place right now. I have no idea what it’s going to sound like.”
I’m sure wherever she decides to land will be brilliant, but personally I have my fingers crossed for a more mature country album, though maybe that’s something she should save for later on in her career. I think Kelly would sounds right at home doing some Miranda Lambert type stuff, especially after she recently covered Miranda’s song “The House That Built Me”.
What direction do you want to see Kelly go for her next album?

I would like to hear her do some country music. Now don’t jump down my throat but I would LOVE to hear Beyonce do country music. It would be just amazing!

Well in the end she will end pop-rock thing like always cause I don’t know how after My December thing she end up again kissing the ass of Clive Davis and release the full-pop-catchy All I Ever Wanted (that end up like Breakaway 2.0 just more electronic) I will love to see all that she says funk-muse/gartbage (electronic)-country but I think that will end up pop-rock as always cuz All I Ever Wanted started as a country album with the demos and look what is end up another Breakaway ow and also she change Ready to country to pop-rock-pop so I think that will be pop-rock as always.
Please. No country. Ugh.
I want her to get rid of all of the electronic beats and synths, and just stick with the rock sound that was on breakaway and my december.
Basically I want her to be in a band, but she’s still presented as a single act.

Kelly is amazing!
Kelly is the only singer out right now who can pull off an album that’s country, acoustic and electronic! lol mad talented. I would like her to do some upbeat dance stuff just because she’s never done that type before. she’s still young and should get that out of her system. Although I do love her singer-songwriter songs and the more rock styles she does live…. hell honestly i like that she has such an eclectic taste. as a consumer i feel like i get my money’s worth when i buy her albums because it ranges so much. always a roller coaster with this chick.
also!!! i hhhhate when people talk about clive davis. he was DEMOTED!!! and no longer has anything to do with kelly. his main focus seems to be whitney houston these days.
Whatever. U can hate her all u want, Beyonce can sing damn near ANYTHING on this planet Earth and everyone knows it.
My girl KELLY can sing any genre.. but she does best with POP/ROCK so hopefully she’ll do that for her next album but whatever she does, i know she can pull it off!
