Kelly Clarkson’s already working on her next album

After staging a successful comeback by releasing one last year’s best pop albums and topping the charts with her super smash “Stronger”, Kelly Clarkson has started work on her next studio album.

No release date has been set yet, but Kelegend’s confirmed that she’s already recorded an “amazing song” with “I Forgive You” producer Darkchild that she “can’t wait for everybody to hear.”

Although Kelly’s only just officially confirmed that she’s recording again, there’s been a couple of hints floating around lately that have had fans suspicious that she’s been back in the studio. Last month, Kelly jokingly complained to Us Weekly that her new relationship (she’s currently dating Reba McEntire’s stepson Brandon Blackstock) has ruined her creativity, causing her to write “happy shit” instead of her usual gutsy anthems, while in a recent article about Ester Dean in The New Yorker, managers of generic production duo Stargate let slip that Kelly Clarkson is on the hunt for new songs.

It probably won’t drop till next year, but I’m so ready for this album. Crying right now tbh.

    I’m really happy this album has done so well for her but I still think she should release a couple more singles from it and get it over the 1,000,000 mark in the US before she drops her next album, I look forward to hearing her new stuff though.

    It seems like this is the fastest she’s been back in the studio. Not a bad thing at all! I would like her to release a couple more songs before something new though.

    I’m not a big Kelly fan .. she has a few good songs but her musics not really my flavor. I do like her as a personality though and I must say I commend her and Rihanna (whom is clearly of lesser talent but I still love) for satisfying their fans. I am OBSESSED with Beyonce, but she is leaving me starved .. bitch feed me life! LOL. I know it’s selfish to expect a lot of your favorite artist as they too are humans thats why I don’t hold it against anyone who takes their time off but I do appreciate how Kelly is working hard and giving her fans stuff to anticipate.

    Kelly is one of those artists like Mariah, Gwen Stefani and Britney that I can just never get enough of no matter how their image change or kooky than get sometimes I love ‘em.

     I think the exact wording was “rainbows and unicorns,” not “happy shit.” Haha

    All the same, I think we’ll see a new album sooner rather than later. She has to be excited about A) being done with her RCA contract, and B) putting into her music her new feelings. I imagine she has to disconnect a little bit with her current material now.

    i’m in shock that darkchild is the one who produced my 2nd favorite song on the album!
    i didn’t even know he dabbled in pop rock…has he done any other pop rock songs that are worth mentioning? Let a kidd know =)

    He did Britney’s weird, widely-disliked “Don’t Keep Me Waiting,” which sounds like a mediocre No Doubt leftover from the 90s. Unquestionably the oddest track to make it onto Femme Fatale.
