Kelly Clarkson begins work on fifth studio album / Due fall 2010

During a new interview on Chicago’s KISSFM, pop/rock diva Kelly Clarkson revealed that she’s already begun working on her fifth studio album, which will be due out Fall 2010.

“We’re already working on it. [The songs] are really different. The next record is going to be really different”.

She also revealed that she may not write the whole record either, which she blames on constant touring and releasing albums so close together (Clarksons current tour does not wrap up until March 2010).

“If I end up liking stuff that I’ve done then I’ll include it, but if I like other stuff better I’ll use that. Sometimes you’re just more inspired I guess, and sometimes if you have records that come out really close together it might be more other peoples songs. Because there’s not enough time to write and sing and perform and do everything.”

Despite penning all the songs from her 2007 album My December, Kelly only wrote on six of the fourteen tracks from her latest effort All I Ever Wanted.

In other news, Kelly’s latest single “Already Gone” continues to rise on the Billboard charts after reaching a new peak of #17 this week. Rumour has it that “Don’t Let Me Stop You” will serve as the fourth single from All I Ever Wanted, which is now close to being certified Platinum. [Source]

I think it’s too soon for Kelly to release another album. She already seems overworked and it will get worse if she has to go on a big tour until March next year, then head straight to the studio to finish off her album, then release and promote it before the year is up.

She needs time to relax and live life so she’ll actually have something to talk about on the new album. I don’t think that All I Ever Wanted is as bad as I have made it out to be in the past, but it just didn’t feel real to me and it was a hard pill to swallow after the raw emotion of My December.

I’m actually worried about Kelly and her freedom as an artist. Fair enough if she just enjoys working all the time and constantly doing albums, but a lot of the angst of My December came from her stress after breaking down from mental exhaustion after being overworked during the post-Idol and Breakaway eras.

Anyways  I’m happy to see “Already Gone” doing so well. It’s an amazing record and it deserves a lot of success.

    I wonder if she is trying to hurry and do ALL of the albums on her contract so she can go to a better record company and have more control?? It wouldn’t be a bad idea/ I just hope people don’t get tired of her like they are of Mrs. Crawfish Camel, lol!!!

    KC is not that interesting anymore. Her fame and music is waning.. People much prefer Pink than KC with true pop/rock vocals and tracks. Could be her last mainstream album IMO.

    I, for one, am excited. I like that Kelly is very involved in the creative process of her albums and I’m glad that the songs she writes for her records actually make it onto the records. And I like that on each of her albums, she experiments with different sounds and they don’t all sound the same.

    I wish that was the case with Britney. I mean her albums don’t necessarily sound the same but when she writes for the records, most of the songs don’t make the cut. And Britney has been doing the dance music thing since In the Zone. It’s time to change it up!

    I just want the whole entire eworld to know that I love Kelly Clarkson’s music with all my heart and soul, and I want to spend the rest of my life listening to it because her music has been the best thing that has ever happened to me ever since she was chosen to be the first winner of American Idol back in 2002 (that was the same year that I graduated from High School). I would be lost forever if she ever decides to stop making music because making music is what she lives for, and that was one of the reasons why I fell deeply in love with her and her music in the first place. She is one of my most favorite female Pop music artists and songwriters in the music industry, and I’m also one of her most biggest fans that was born and raised here in the United States of Amerca. I would gaurd and protect Kelly and her music from all of the haters out there because not only that she seems to be very friendly and down to earth, also because her music inspires me in so man ways. She has an awsome singing voice that was given to her as a special gift from God, and nobody could ever take that away from her no matter what because it comes very natural for her. I also want the whole entire world to know that I honestly do believe that Kelly looks a lot more prettier than my wife, Ashley. I really wish that I was married to her instead of being married to Ashley so that we could journey in heaven together as husband and wife. I would also like to have 6 children with her, just like The Brady Bunch. I have all 4 of her albums, and I can’t wait until she releases her new upcoming album in 2011 because I really want to buy it. I’m sure that her new upcoming album will sound as good as all of her previous albums, and I’m also sure that it will sell over 1 million copies here in the United States of America and worldwide because I truly believe that she has a lot of fans all over the world that really enjoys listening to her music as much as I do. I would often daydream about meeting her in person and singing a duet along with her in one of her albums because I truly believe that it is my destiny to do so. She is every woman to me who touches my heart when it comes to her music. End of story.

    Kelly Clarkson sang a duet along with Country music artist, Jason Aldean and the title of the song is, “Don’t You Wanna Stay?” The song will be on Jason’s new upcoming album, “My Kinda Party” and I hope that it will also be on Kelly’s new upcoming album as well because I think that it is a really good song. I’m a huge fan of these 2 music artists.
