Kelis unleashes her animal instinct for ‘Flesh Tone’ artwork.

In an effort to separate herself from the current crop of pop stars plaguing the charts right now, trendsetter Kelis has sported two very different yet equally amazing looks for the artwork to her new album Flesh Tone.

In one picture the singer can be seen sparkling and drenched in diamonds like a Studio 54 disco diva, while in the next she’s transformed herself half-lion, half-woman hybrid.

How long do you think it’ll be before the rest of the girls in the industry catch on and start sporting the dog lady look? I know I’ve already spotted a certain unnamed singer rocking grey hair after Kelis went out of her way to do it when nobody else was!

    This is cool and everything, but why is the industry so concerned about who’s copying who now? Every slightly strange detail is compared to Lady GaGa or somebody and it’s so annoying. People can be inspired without copying someone.

    That top picture of her is so awesome. ;a;

    The hybrid picture is pretty cool as well…but the boring background takes away from it. Atleast it’s well-done though. I’ll be taking a look into her album…partly because I love the title and partly in hopes that there will be no songs sung like how she did “Acapella”.

    Is that Kelis’ belief or Prophet’s? I ask only because both Britney and Beyonce have sported similar diamond looks. It would seem strange that she would believe the diamond outfit would set her apart from anyone when more than one artist has already been there and done that within this past decade.

    The animal hybrid was a great idea. It could have looked even better though.

    The diamonds were a throwback to the 70′s.

    Obviously that pic was just a nice one she was doing, whereas the lion was trying to do something out the box.

    That’s the trouble with her. Such an brilliant vocalist. It is so disappointing to see her waste it getting caught up in all that bad garbage. The girl should go straight to rehabilitation, or get into a program, or get a more competent personal coach. Will she ever tour in the future? I’d love to see her in concert, her concerts always so spellbinding.
