Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection’ coming this March

Iwantitiwantitiwantit!
Katy Perry‘s shady chart tactics epitomize pathetic, but I’m still a total fan of her music and I’m always down for some new tunes from the pop tart. It looks like we won’t be waiting long for some: almost a year-and-a-half after her sophomore LP Teenage Dream spawned five three No. 1 singles, Katy is preparing to re-release the album in March as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.
Whether or not it will be a traditional repackage or a full EP like The Fame Monster and Cannibal remains to be seen, but radio station 92.3 NOW are speculating that those hideous old Teen Dream demos “Dressin’ Up” and “Part of Me” may make the cut, since they were suddenly yanked from Youtube.
News of a re-release has been floating around since as early October, 2010, and late last year Tricky Stewart confirmed that he was sprucing up some old Teenage Dream leftovers for Katy, so there’s bound to be a tonne of new songs on Perry’s MacBook just itching to be released.
So, with The Complete Confection due out on March 13, let’s weigh up the pros and cons of new Katy Perry music.
Pros: More fierce songs to sing in the shower and the car. Something to replace the irritating “The One That Got Away” on Z100. Possible scratch ‘n’ sniff album packaging that will taste and smell like Katy’s enormous titties.
Cons: More bargain-bin remixes and trashy price cuts. The impending claim that Teenage Dream has beaten Michael Jackson’s record of No. 1s, even though The Complete Confection is clearly a re-release. A possible mastered version of “Milk Milk Lemonade”.
I still want it.
