Kanye West closes the VMAs with a toast to the scum of society.

Kanye West acknowledged that he’s a douche bag with the official closing performance of tonight’s VMAs.

“Let’s have a toast for the douche bags, let’s have a toast for the assholes, let’s have a toast for the scumbags, every one of them that I know,” West sung on the hook of the new song, titled ‘Runaway’. “Let’s have a toast to the jerk-offs, that’d never take work off, baby I got a plan, runaway as fast as you can.”

Kanye may be all of those things and more, but on top of it he’s still one of the most talented and creative individuals in the industry today, which was evident by the stunning visuals used in this performance. It still felt self-indulgent and the ballerina’s were a little contrived, but overall he nailed it.

“Runaway” seems to be the sister song to Taylor Swift’s earlier performance of “Innocent”, so hopefully this means that this whole VMAs matter can now be filed under case closed, for good this time.

How fitting for Kanye to close the night with and ode to himself. He’s a total Fuck Tard and should be banned from the music industry for being a scum bag, watching it back and still being a scum bag. HATE HIM

Loved it. Florence, Linkin Park and him had the best performances. The show was dry though. There was not enough star power or females to bring it. Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ is amazing, but he is not a good performer. Everytime he performs I find myself doing getting up and working on another project.

Topher, have a seat. You still mad about last year’s incident? He didn’t kill or beat anybody up trick. Girl didn’t deserve the award and that was not right of him to do, but people like you stay making something small a big situation.

  • Ethan

    The song sucks…

  • Iceberg

I couldn’t fucking care about his misdeeds or feuds, I go for his music and the incredible hooks; will be rushing out to buy his new album.

He’s the most talented rapper out there today, even greater than Eminem himself…

And to Lisa: Preach (hey, im looking everywhere for christina’s john lennon performance, i guess there’s no video yet, or was I misinformed?)

Omg I loved the song. Loved it loved it.

Co-sign with Ethan, this was a fucking mess. The biggest besides Taylor last night.

I hated both Kanye & Taylor’s performance. But if I were to just judge on the song, at least Taylor’s lyrics were clever. Kanyes lyrics sucked big time , I wasnt expecting such a crappy song. He still looks like an asshole at the end of the night, to me this was a fail comeback performance.

I LOL so hard when I listen to the lyrics I mean is totally crazy “let’s have a toeast for the assholes”? hahahahaha.

Anyway the VMA’s where boring..even last year were better and I hate the last year VMA’s..but Florence and Linkin Park amazing perfomance perfomance, Usher, Taylor and Drake where good but not amazing they save the VMA’s..and Chelsea jokes where good too..but I feel bored seeing them..anyway…I’m dissapointed since I was thinking that the rock will rebirth again with Florence, LP, Paramore and 30 seconds to Mars (not performing but they where announced) where going to perform..but just where LP and Florence..30STM no perform and Paramore sing their more pop song and even with hip hop of B.O.B…the rock didn’t even win a good award..they win 3 awards the half of awards that fucking gaga wins…very dissapointed.

Just goes to show that he can’t even apologize without somehow boasting himself, “a toast to….” (well you fit whatever explitive). It seemed somewhat genuine but both Taylor and Kanye’s performances were overhyped. It was constantly rumored that there was a collaboration of sorts. Well whatever….
