Jordin Sparks to release “Don’t Let It Go To Your Head” as third single

Her new album Battlefield may be dead in the water but Jordin Sparks isn’t giving up just yet, with new reports confirming that the singer will release a third single, “Don’t Let It Go to Your Head”, this January in Europe.

The song was previously released by pop/rock singer FeFe Dobson back in 2005, and was the subject of some controversy when it was revealed that Jordin had recorded it.

I love basically every song from Jordin’s album so I’m not too fussed with what she releases, but I was kind of hoping for “Watch You Go” because it’s a little more urban.

Do you think the album has a chance of recovering, or is the Battlefield era over already?

I love “Watch You Go” and I agree that it should be the next single. I think they messed up releasing “Battlefield” first because that song isn’t that great. I think the label thought it would do good just because Ryan Tedder’s name was attatched to it. I think its the same thing with “Happy” from Leona Lewis. Just because Ryan Tedder produced doesn’t make it a hit. But I think she should just move on to her third album and be smart with the single releases.

I love Battlefield! I think it murders Happy!

Happy had a great video though, that’s the only thing i like about it.

  3. Jesper Says:

i think she should release the other songs as her third single…so many choices from the album…why she picked up this song as her third single??….

  4. Alex Says:

Her first cd was amazing I could listen to it all day.
I tried listening to this cd but I couldn’t get in it at all. And I agree with the comments about Ryan tedder

  5. Nicole Says:

I think there is so many other choices for her 3rd Single. What about:
    1. It Takes More
    2. Let It Rain
    3. The Cure
    4. No Parade
    5. Postcard
    6. Hate To See You Go
    7. Emergency 911
    8. Vertigo
    9. Paper Cut

Gee, anything but the FeFe Dodson song!!! It has been done…move on you have so many others MUCH BETTER!!

But I still love you Jordin Sparks and love your new Duet with Guy Sebastian “Art of Love” and the video which I can hardly wait until it is sold here in the United States. You go girl!!

I do like the album as well as ‘Battlefield’, however I do think the album is dead. She too is suffering from the sophomore slump although her album is actually very good and an upgrade from her debut release.

As for the third single. I do like the song (I’ve liked it back when FeFe released it) but I don’t see it doing anything for her. I mean it failed the first time it was released by FeFe so I’m not sure things will be different this time around.

  8. HEALTHY BLACK QUEENS Says:

I prefer Fefe’s angrier, grittier version. You can feel her attitude, whereas Jordin’s is bubbly and sweet like her.

  9. m.i.k.e. Says:

i think her album is completely dead now
she had to release LET IT RAIN for 3rd single, that song is the best song she has ever made
i still wonder why S.O.S. didnt work, i used to listen to that song on repeat, and Battlefield wasn’t that great, it was boring IMO

  10. Kenni Says:

Battlefield was seriously one of the best albums of the year. I think they should release No Parade or The Cure. The Cure is my personal favorite from the album.

  11. prince Says:

Watch You Go is the best song on the album but no one wants to listen to urban music only this wack dance pop stuff

  12. Baila Holara Says:

i can see “No Parade” doing well. “Watch You Go” and “It Takes More” are really good too.

  13. Chris Says:

Seriously?!! THIS SONG IS MY FAVORITE SONG FROM HER!!!!! I know it’s a cover but I just freakin love this song! She better do this song justice and do a GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT EXPENSIVEEEEEEE video!

  14. tupey Says:

I like it but Fefe’s version is better IMO.

  15. Cardio Rodeo Says:

As a Fefe Dobson fan and a sometimes Jordin fan. I have to say that I thought she did an ok job on this version of the song. It’s almost like Selena Gomez covering Fefe’s other song As a Blonde. Like she took something that was already good and made her her own, because it was Fefe’s song in the first place I’m already going to feel alittle indifferent about it because I’m so use to Fefe singing it. Do I think it is a choice? No.Could it help her career? Maybe. We shall see.

  16. mimifan Says:

sorry! its all over for her.

  17. The Prophet Says:

She’s definitely suffered the sophomore slump.

I dont know why people dont like this album tho! I know it’s a very “safe” album like Leona’s and Alex’s, but IMO it’s just so much better. Jordins vocals are amazing and the songs are great, they all have a lot of emotion. Theres probably only like one or two tracks I dont like.

  18. Albert Sean Says:

She should release THE CURE!!! That song is so good. One of my fave songs this year!! Jordin release that song!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. nickknickk Says:

no parade is such a good songgg
ugh that album really was GOOD.

  20. The_M_C_Fan Says:

She diffentl suffered SS. but it’s never too late! go back a couple of years ago to fantasia and when she got her hit (when i see you) i really thought that was a gd song but not hit metrial but then it proved me wrong and it saved the album! i just hope the same happens to jordin!

  21. Luke Says:

I think it’s already dead.. and she’s releasing the single in Europe when she’s more popular in US so it’s without a chance.. And I though she would release Let It Rain… She should promote the album immediately and there are a huge delays between the releasing of the singles..

  22. Andres Says:

nah…i like this version but i prefer rock version of fefe.

  23. kleber Says:

emergency (911), walking on snow, the cure & Vertigo!
poderiam ser singles, pelo o menos duas dessas!!
    eu ia amar…

  24. kleber Says:

O ALBUM “BATTLEFIELD” É DE LONGE MELHOR QUE SEU PRIMEIRO ALBUM!!
MAS NÃO SEI O QUE OUVE, QUE NÃO FEZ SUCESSO QUANTO ESPERADO…!?
NEM SEI PORQUE, ISSO ME CONSOME!
MAS O TERCEIRO SINGLE PODERIA SER: EMERGENCY (911), COMO EU JA SITEI AI ACIMA!
    É UMA MUSICA COMERCIAL!
TODO MUNDO QUE MOSTREI ESSA MUSICA GOSTOU, E UM MUSICA QUE IA FAZER SUCESSO PRINCIPALMENTE NO BRASIL ERA: THE CURE!
    SUCESSO GARANTIDO E RECONHECIMENTO BRASILEIRO!!

  25. angela Says:

i personally think that don’t let it go to your head is a great song and don’t understand why so many people think that jordin is all over. She’s a great singer and i don’t really care about fefe version.it is great but jordin is great too.i suggest you to not argue about it anymore,to see her single and appreciate it.I’m sure it will be good and my feelings never mislead me.
