Janet Jackson to return to music in 2011.

Pop music just hasn’t been the same since the Queen of Pop Janet Jackson stopped releasing flop albums and decided to focus on her acting career instead. While on Larry King this week to promote Tyler Perry’s latest soapy, melodramatic ‘movie’, Janhova delivered some of the best news since Heidi Montag announced her intent to shoot a music video for “I’ll Do It” — that she’ll be returning to music in 2011.

“No, not at all,” she told King when asked if she had abandoned music. “Just because I’ve made a few films back to back… it’s always been a dream of mine to do something like that, to put music on the back-burner for a second to do this. I will continue to do more films, but definitely, I can’t give up music, it’s in my blood, and I love performing. I will make more music. I’ve thought to go into the studio and just take my time and fool around. Next year.” [source]

Let’s hope that the Holy legend sticks to her word and returns to music, because my poor brain can’t handle sitting through one more bloody Tyler Perry film just to get my Janhova fix.

    I think I’d rather sit through any of Janet’s movies than hear any more on here about how Ke$ha is like the 2nd arrival of Christ. A lyrical genius, she’s not (“Blah Blah Blah”, & “Cannibal” anyone?). Just as annoying as Perez Hilton constantly bashing Xtina and her “Bionic” CD….but that’s another topic.

    Good for Janet for taking a breather to do some films, and hopefully in 2011, she can do a proper comeback CD without the career-destruction of Jermaine Dupri on board for it like he was for the last two albums (“20 Y.O.” & “Discipline”).

    fact is she always has a couple of really good songs on every album she does and if people keep ingnoring her then that’s their own fault. they are missing out on real catchy music. i am not even a real fan of hers but thats just how it is.

    I think this new movie which is directed by Tyler Perry is gonna be a whole lot better than the movies he’s written mainly because this movie was a big Broadway play and only thing he had to do was adapt to the big screen. Can’t wait to see it.

    I hope Janet does come back with new music. I would be happy.
