Introducing… Deluka!

Deluka are a new female-fronted rock-electronica band out of the U.K. They recently signed a US deal with indie label Vel Records and just released their first single “Cascade” to radio. A video for the song has already been shot and should premiere this month, so I thought I better post them now before they blow up!

A lot of groups like La Roux and Florence & The Machine have come out of the U.K. recently and had major success, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Deluka are next in line. Their darker rockier sound helps set them apart from their competition, and also provides a refreshing alternative to the commercial top 40 dance out right now.

Check out their amazing first single “Cascade” below, as well as another one of their songs “OMFG” which appears on their EP. You can also take a listen to an official remix they did for Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK”, which I actually like just as much as the original.

    Hmm…though I still prefer La Roux sound Cascade doesn’t seem too bad…I’m not sure they can hav the same success as La Roux or Florence & The Machine cuz those had more commercial appeal…we’ll see…

    @MCboy

    How can you call La Roux and Florence & The Machine have more commercial appeal? La Roux is for androgynous lesbians & club kids; FATM is for the indie, hipster clones. Besides, neither is exactly impressing the Top 20 set [in the US, I mean]. Deluka sounds more commercial than the other two combined.

    @The Prophet

    I swear, Ke$ha could take a shit in front of you and you’d still love her! You always seem to find a way to include her, even if she isn’t needed {or in my case, wanted}

  8. The Prophet Says:

    No, I just put the Ke$ha remix in there because their remix is almost better than the original and it shows their skills, plus I thought it would catch the attention of the people who only listen to top 40 and are never willing to listen to new artists.
