Indie songstress Christina Aguilera previews generic Pitbull duet “Feel This Moment”

“It had a lot of amazing sounds and a futuristic twist to it,” the legendary Christina Aguilera told Rolling Stone last week when discussing her maligned masterpiece Bionic. “But if you weren’t a music person, it was just going to go over your head. A lot of the collaborations were with people that were either very underground or weren’t necessarily from the pop world. I really think it was far ahead of its time and it’ll be fully appreciated in the years to come.”
One song that won’t be appreciated in years to come is Christina’s collaboration with underground rapper Pitbull. Only a minute-and-a-half of the single, titled “Feel This Moment”, has leaked online, but it’s enough to determine that it’s an unsalvageable piece of shit.
The hipster club anthem is built around a sample of indie band A-Ha’s little-known hit “Take On Me”, which is one of the biggest-selling singles of the 1980s. The song was also recently ‘sampled’ (stolen) by K-poppers FIESTAR and IU for their single “Sea of Moonlight”, but their take on the cult classic was so mainstream and predictable that it fails to even come close to the artistic quality of Pitbull and Aggie’s defining duet.
Take a listen below, but remember: this one is for true music people only.
