Heidi Montag “My new album is as good as Thriller! I’m part of music history!”
Heidi Montag continues to role out the hilarious quotes to try and promote her debut album Superficial, and I’m more than happy to give her a little press as long as she has me laughing.
I definitely do [think Superficial holds up to Thriller]. I think people might not see it now, because it’s my first album coming out. But I’ve spent as much time–maybe more, even–than Thriller… For me, I have a different appreciation, a different understanding, and a different love of my music and for my album than any other artist possibly could because this is my money.
She may have spent “close to $2 million” on her album which according to Heidi sent her broke, but that isn’t a worry for the reality TV reject who is confident that she’ll make her money back and then some.
[Not making my money back], that’s not even a possibility. I think within the first week we will definitely make our money back. The songs will make an impact in pop history.
I think it’s gonna do great. I have a million twitter followers and they’re all very excited. So that’s at least a million people right there. It also takes time. I don’t expect it to be instant. Maybe it’s the biggest album in a couple months? Maybe it’s the biggest album in a year? But I will never stop music. This is the first album of many to come. As long as I can keep affording it and keep doing it I will, because it’s my love and my passion.
I think the possibilities of where this is going to go is going to be infinite. I’m just excited to be part of the history of music.
I think Superficial is going to be huge for Heidi. I’m predicting at least a double cardboard certification. She may even reach aluminum if she performs at the World Cup which she is supposedly in talks for.

Its all about having talent & knowing the right people who will support you, if you don’t have the talent then spending all that money is worthless.
That means she spent all her money on studio time (which is what cost the most) on getting her vocals right in the studio.
Studio time you pay for equipment, producers, mixers, engineers, vocal coach & songwriters
You’re meant to get your music done as quickly as possible because of the cost. She invested all her money on a project that could fail. The point of having a record label is so you don’t have those costs because they invested in the project.
