Hayden Panettiere still wants to release an album
You’ve probably forgotten by now (or just never knew in the first place), but Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere also moonlights as a pop star in her spare time, and now after a huge long gap of complete nothingness she’s finally decided that she’s ready to give her music career another shot.
“I’d like to focus on music,’ she tells Now. I’ve been singing for almost as long as I’ve been acting and I love it. It’s just a different way of expressing myself and getting to be me, not having to play anyone else.”
The 20-year-old wants to make sure her LP is perfect before she releases it.
“I’ve been working on my album for about three years,” she reveals. It’s all about finding the time, though, which is crazy. And it’s hard to get people to accept me as a singer because they see me as an actor.” {source}
In addition to countless appearances on various Disney soundtracks, the Hollywood Records signee released her first single “Wake Up Call” back in 2008. The song was a complete rip-off of Paris Hilton’s one and only hit “Stars are Blind”, but it was still quite catchy even though it failed to chart.
Hayden actually strikes me as reasonably intelligent and sensible, so hopefully she doesn’t release something boring in a desperate effort to prove to us that she’s a “real” singer.

I’ve always liked “Wake Up Call” for some reason. Hayden should really stick to ‘acting’ [haha] and leave singing behind.
And speaking of Paris, her album wasn’t COMPLETELY terrible. Are there plans to release a 2nd?

Actually, Paris’s album was praised heavily by some critics lol. I liked Leighton’s transition to music, but I’m not feeling Hayden as much. She doesn’t have the personality, or something just doesn’t quite fit.
PAris first album was amazing. I love every single. One of the best pop albums in years.
And I agree Holara, Hayden is kinda boring, like the poor mans hilary duff

Hayden can sing though. I like her. I could see her on songs like Lose Control from Timbo and Jojo. We’ll see, I’m interested.
Wake Up Call is totally one of my guilty pleasure songs that I listen to……..it’s not the good but for some reason I can’t help but like it….it’s so catchy LOL
WHY WAS I WATCHING THE MUSIC VIDEO ON YOUTUBE JUST LAST NIGHT? I ACTUALLY LIKE THIS SNG AND I LOOOVVVEEE HAYDEN! ESPECIALLY HEROES. I HAVENT MISSED AN EPISODE CUZ ITS SO AMAZING !!
I was always looking forward to her CD, so if/when it happens I’ll check it out.
