Gangkiz snatch wigs with boring “MAMA” performances

Since AllKPop are being haters and not giving Gangkiz their own comeback performance posts, I guess it’s up to me to give K-Pop’s biggest flops some much needed attention.

After sending EXO into early retirement with their iconic new single “MAMA”, Gangkiz returned to the stage last night for what is sure to be the beginning of a string of flawlessly mediocre performances from the misunderstood divas.

The song’s feminine choreography seriously lacks the fierce energy that we saw in Jonte Moaning’s rehearsal video, and it wasn’t until their Music Bank performance that I could actually hear them singing.

But they still slayed me.

They look sexy and glamorously anorexic in their new concept outfits, and their good looks combined with their mature image and lack of charisma was giving me major Nine Muses “No Playboy” era realness.

Stunning Kweens.

But why is the member with the long brown hair and bangs so creepy looking? She’s like UEE 2.0, but worse.

    Blegh I hate members that don’t sing their lines live… especially if it’s talk-rap lines… come on! Glad I didn’t buy their album… I have high hopes for SISTAR’s summer single. Finally some decent live singing…

    excuse me, but i absolutely love them! hahaha i can see the total lack of charisma and the fact they never cease lipsynching is a bummer, but the song is gorgeous, the choreography is flawless and they’re all pretty. i’m in love with the uee-clone too!!

    they NEED more stage training and how to look present in front of an audience and i believe that comes with time. i hope CCM and KKS don’t give up on them so quickly due the chart flops, because musically wise they’re the BEST active group.

    excuse me, i absolutely LOVE them! i can see the lack of charisma and the total lipsynching is indeed a bummer, but the song is perfection and choreography is flawless!

    they do NEED stage training and learning how to look present in front of an audience, but i believe that comes with time. i hope KKS doesn’t give up on them due to the chart flops, i can see the potential especially if they keep receiving the BEST music to record – sorry to everyone else, but gangkiz’s singles are the best of 2012, musically wise.

    They just look bored. : Like seriously the girl that use to have red hair and now has some weird grey thing going on like Qri except more dead looking was like :| the entire performance.

    I personally blame their agency and their diet regime for the lack of energy. They’re obviously eating a lettuce leaf a day to stay that thin.

    haha true! But I noticed SISTAR always uses handmics and at rarely fake the lines they have. Even though Dasom isn’t a spectacular singer, she does the little lines she gets.

    I love the song so so so much but this performance was really really boring. They could’ve done better.. but then again Jonte does everything better, even TaeTiSeo’s “Twinkle”.

    I think they’re just bummed they’re flopping and receiving so much hate. That and it looks like they still don’t know how to work the cameras. That rapper chick (the first one) has always looked dead/scared since Honey Honey. Jihyun and Esther always try though, although Jihyun fucked up some steps in the dance MV lmao

    But hey, I saw them in Melon’s real time top 100, which is more than I can say for Honey Honey.

    The long haired girl with bangs is leader isnt she? I think she is hot. They all hot except that short haired black one; ditch the hair gel and your hotness will come out.

    I was hoping for more fierce bitch energy like Jonte was giving in that vid but, alas, it was not to be. Not that I’m shocked, Jonte ALWAYS kills his choreo. This song is surprisingly good, though. Smh @ these girls but if Tara had tried to do this song, I’d still be laughing. They’re too cutesy for this.

    I think sooyoung is skinny but this girls and sooyoung are the same. This song should be called MAMA and APPA and Honey honey was better than this song.

    Ummm, not really. T-ara’s done similar concepts in the past, and this probably would have been fairly easy for them since this is fairly reminiscent of their “Cry Cry” performances anyways.
