Flaw-free new group FIESTAR release reggaeton banger “Wicked”

LOEN Entertainment never get it wrong. They made IU, revamped Sunny Hill, signed Brown Eyed Girls’ superstar Ga-In, and now they’ve launched one of the best rookie girl groups of the year, FIESTAR.
We got out first taste of FIESTAR when they featured on IU’s amazing A-ha rip-off “Sea of Moonlight”, and then again when the girls slayed our souls with their dance cover of SHINee’s “Lucifer”. Now they’ve dropped their first buzz single –a precursor to their upcoming official single– called “Wicked”, featuring none other than Korean rap royal Tiger JK.
“Wicked” is an off-the-wall hip-hop track made up of zippy house music and reggaeton. Apparently the fusion genre is called moombahton, which I didn’t know, so thank you LOEN for teaching my dumbass something new.

It doesn’t sound like a pop hit, but that’s fine, because it’s not supposed to be. It helps assert FIESTAR’s individuality amongst the crowded K-Pop girl group scene, and landing Tiger JK as a guest star is a huge coup for the group. Obviously the killer beat would be better if you dropped FIESTAR and replaced them with real emcees like Miryo, Yoon Mi Rae, Simon D, Verbal Jint, etc etc etc, but by girl group standards, this is a pretty kick ass tune.
“Wicked” is definitely gonna get some booty’s shakin’ on the dance floor, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see reggaeton DJs from around the world picking this up and including it in their sets.
Get into it below.
