F**K YES! Kelly Clarkson eyes “Dark Side” for next single

My body is ready. Mah bod-eh has never been more ready for something than it is right now!

During a new interview with Z100, Kelly Clarkson confirmed that the utterly amazing “Dark Side” is likely to be the third single from her Gold-certified album Stronger.

Cue shaking & crying!

“Dark Side” will serve as the follow-up to “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)”, which is currently No. 1 on both the Hot 100 and the United World Singles Chart. It’s also still rising at US radio, so its run is far from up yet!

“Dark Side” is really the perfect third single from Stronger. “Let Me Down” is too rocky, and “I Forgive You” is too obvious and safe right now, and will serve better being released towards the end of Kelly’s album cycle. “Dark Side” is perfect for radio, it’s got a unique message that people can relate to, and it’s in prime position to smash now that the success of “Stronger” has gotten everybody back on team Kelly.

God, everything about Kelly Clarkson’s current era is just working out so well. Beyonce flopped, Lady GaGa under-performed, and Rihanna just shot herself in the foot with her disgusting publicity stunt, while Kween Kelly is just casually kicking back and slaying these bitches without even breaking a sweat.

    Let Me Down really deserves to be a single, it should’ve been the first single also I think Einstien would be great too…….besides Stronger those 2 are the only good tracks on the album imo!

    WOW, i was never much of a Kelly fan but i really like this song. I agree that it’s perfect for radio and different to what people will be expecting from her. I’m so glad this era is working out for her she deserves it, i also heard that the album has sold over 100k in the UK so it should be certified Gold here too any day.

    Yes I been jamming this song even more than “Stronger”, I love it and is a good follow to that song since both are similar sounded and “Dark Side” have amazing lyrics, any song on that album can be possible single anyway “You Love Me”, “Honestly”, “Einstein”, “I Forgive You” and “Hello” are good choices to be singles too, I love “Let Me Down” but that will never been single that song is like the “Can’t We Go Back” from this album.

    OMG!!! I love Dark Side. I am so glad they are going with this one. I love this album and there are so many hits to choose from it. Dark Side and then The War Is Over for the ballad. There is something about that song. I can listen to it over and over again. Kelly rules! God, I love her voice!!!

    I’ve always been meh on this track, I would have rather seen Let You Down or I Forgive You, but what do I know I though Stronger was a weak track and it became the biggest hit of her career.

    “Dark Side” would be a good single.  Although “You Love Me” is not my favorite song on the album, I think it might do even better as a single.

    I’m so happy for this. Dark Side is definitely one of my fave from the album. Now that she has had another #1 with Stronger, she can just release the best song from the album. And Dark Side is the best choice.

    Honestly is my favorite song on the album but most fans will agree it would make a terrible single choice it may have been good single during the breakaway era but music has changed since then and honestly wouldn’t fit the bill, if she even released a slow song this era it would probably be the war is over, and even that would be a risky choice, but it has more of a chance than honestly

    When I got her new album I had identified Dark Side as the best song on it. It’s now my favourite song by Kelly, out of everything she’s ever recorded. It’s an incredible track and never gets old! I want to cover it.
