Chromeo and La Roux make a “Hot Mess” together.

About two weeks ago I posted Chromeo’s bizarre music video for their new single “Hot Mess”, and also blabbed about how the duo had roped in La Roux frontwoman Elly Jackson to jump on the song’s official remix. Well the remix premiered about a week ago (yeah, I’m late) and it’s pretty f-ing amazing. Which version of the funky electro cut is superior is open to debate, but one thing that’s certain is that Elly’s added touch injects a real pop sheen to the song, making it easier to digest for casual listeners who may not be familiar with just how epic Chromeo really are.

Now can Chromeo’s record label please promote this everywhere and try make it the new indie crossover smash, à la “Bulletproof” or “Dog Days Are Over”?
