Christina Aguilera’s manager speaks: “No one is giving up on Bionic”.

Over the weekend, some random member of the Digital Spy forum claimed to be a label intern and posted a rumor that Christina Aguilera was planning to leave her label RCA Records in order to sign a new deal with Live Nation. The rumor subsequently spread like wild fire, causing Aggie’s manager Irving Azoff (who doubles as the chairman of Live Nation) to clear the whole mess up, while also denying some previous comments he made about Aggie’s upcoming flick Burlesque which were blown out or proportion.
Christina is under a long term contract with RCA records! Live nation is not a record company.
No one is giving up on ‘Bionic’. ‘You Lost Me’ is coming out in the UK. The video is out here now. You aren’t seeing her as she is finishing ‘Burlesque’. We won’t give up.

Nobody has given up? Coulda fooled me. It probably would’ve been a good move to get Christina to perform, or at least attend, today’s Teen Choice Awards.
As I’ve wondered out loud to myself before, it feels like Aggie’s current strategy is to lay low and let the heat die down, then to re-emerge and utilize a little cross-promotion by using Burlesque to possibly revive Bionic.
