Christina Aguilera planning performances on VH1 Storytellers and MTV unplugged?

Christina Aguilera may have hinted that she won’t be showing off her powerhouse vocals on her new album Bionic as much as she has done in the past, but it looks like you’ll still get a chance to hear that ear shattering voice after Aggie responded to a fan on her radio station and mentioned that she was planning several major live specials in the near future.

“I definitely have [thought about releasing a live album]. It’s definitely going to be something that I will put out in the future at some point, just not yet. But I will be doing some things with MTV, Storytellers and you know, a lot of other live work that will consist of a lot of live performing, and maybe in the future we’ll put that together on an album”.

MTV Unplugged involves artists playing live acoustic versions of their songs, and after being off air for a while it was revived earlier this month by Adam Lambert. VH1 Storytellers on the other hand features artists performing a selection of their music, and then telling ‘stories’ to the audience about their life and how the song and music came together.

Hopefully Aggie stays true to her very vague words and ends up filming some of these specials for the Bionic era. Since her new album is more pop/electronic based this time, could we perhaps see some more choreography from Aggie this time around?

    And yeah she didn’t say unplugged that’s why I put a question mark, but she was talking about live shows and mentioned MTV followed by storytellers in the same sentence so she obviously meant those kinds of shows so she must be planning on doing one.

    that was hot and way more choreo than britney these days

    and during stripped christina danced her ass off, like a hooker, but that doesnt matter

    i think she always did great shows with a good mix of dancing and “stand and sing songs”

    and why posting lift me up? what is she supposed to do with that song? doing the waltz?

    Chrissy better work. Chrissy has always been known for her nice choreo & powerhouse vocals, & her ability to command the stage like no other. Her dancing isn’t on the level of our best dancers of this generation, but def enough to get her by a performance. But, I think she will have wayy more choreo this era, & I can’t wait till she does a live album/performance set.

    I really love Lift Me Up. Such a great song, this album needs to come out now! Not in two months. Isn’t the single dropping today or tomorrow?

    Hopefully Bionic won’t let me down, she hasn’t yet. I’m pretty excited for the live performances too.

    i would love too!! LOL im stuck on listening to her radio, she spoke about a new song called “I Am”, she is also said she would love to do a spanish album with real new songs and not just translation of her old songs, she is also interessted on working with spanish artists!!

    Yes Yes Yes to everything posted here! I really hope she does some live versions of songs we’ve never heard live, that would be a worthy album.

    I feel like especially because this album won’t be featuring as much “singing” as its been reported, that she’ll want to make up for it with these live specials; which I’m not complaining about! I’m almost feeling like we’re going to see Christina like we see the biggest pop stars, she’ll ALMOST be overexposed, but it just won’t be annoying like you know who’s…

    This could be amazing, but she’s just so closed off and fake. Her “stories” are gonna be the same old crap she’s been regurgitating for years. She’s gonna talk about how her mother was abused, how she struggled with people not accepting her image and sexuality, how getting married and being a mom has changed her life (enough already) and how she is SO much more confident now with her sexuality (which she says every time she puts out an album). Blah Blah Blah.

    She’ll also talk about being a woman a lot. Women. Women. Women. Strong women! Ok, Chrissy, we got it….just sing. Why does she seem to not give a shit that some of her fans are males? Candyman. Ain’t No Other Man, “tonight I’m not the same girl”…I don’t identify with that. Janet Jackson and Madonna were both sexually assertive strong women, but they didn’t have to REMIND YOU OF IT EVERY TIME THEY OPENED THEIR MOUTHS, and they didn’t have to make every song an old to having a vagina or being in love with a dudebro.

    (sigh. and i guess that’s why everybody’s waiting for the sequel to stripped that will never come)…Thank god for Gaga.
