Cheryl Cole ready to record third album. Rihanna duet finally in the works?

UK darling Cheryl Cole, who is second only to Jodie Marsh in her beauty and grace, is already preparing to put the Messy Little Tears album era to bed in order to begin recording her third studio album.
“For me, it’s all about the British music scene right now,” she told Metro backstage at the BRITs. “I seriously can’t wait to get back into the studio now. I’m itching to start recording.”
“I really want to get into the studio and focus properly on doing something different and more edgy,” she later told the Daily Record. “I want to work with everyone at the moment. Music is great right now.”
There’s no other concrete info on the album yet, but it looks like that pesky Rihanna duet that’s been talked about forever may finally be happening in the near future. ”There could be wheels, there could be motions. We’ll see,” she said cryptically when pressed for details.
Meanwhile, Cheryl has shown what an intelligent lass she is by reportedly scrapping Messy Little Raindrops third single “Everyone”. Apparently she’s been working non-stop and doesn’t want to promote the song, and fears that it’ll flop. She’s probably right since her last single, that urination ballad “The Flood”, only reached No. 18 on the charts — making it the lowest charting single of her whole career.
As Cheryl plots her next musical move, her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicole Roberts and Sarah Harding are working on their own solo albums, and Nadine has split with her management.
