Cher’s new album “Will be the most successful of her 45 year career!”

2010 just got a whole lot gayer with news that one of pops most legendary pioneers, Cher, will release a new studio album this year.

Fresh from filming her big screen return with Christina Aguilera in the musical Burlesque, Cher will officially launch her new single “Already Been There” at the World Music Awards on May 18 in Monaco.

The new album will reportedly have a “rock” sound, which a return to form for Cher who scored some of her biggest hits with her rock-tinged stadium anthems like “I Found Someone” and “Turn Back Time”.

“This is going to be by far the most successful album Cher has recorded in her 45 year career,” a rep for the singer announced this week. {source}

That’s a pretty big call since the 63-year-old Cher has sold well over 100 million albums worldwide, but she hasn’t released a new studio album in almost a decade so it’s about time that the Queen returned to give these young women of today a lesson in how it’s really done.

Besides her new album Cher will also appear on the soundtrack to Burlesque, which is rumored to contain a duet between herself and Christina Aguilera.

Cher is also considering going back on tour once her current stint at Caesars Palace runs out, even though her three year, $250 million grossing ‘Farewell Tour’ was supposed to be her last.

Oh, and if Cher wasn’t enough to give you your diva fix then you can look out for the new Cyndi Lauper album which is due June.

    Cher is pretty fucking legendary.
I can see in the stars that this album will be pretty massive possibly.

I don’t mind admitting that i do like a bit of Cher even if it makes me sound like a bit of a woofter dickly rider. Im excited for new Cher though.

I wonder what surgery she will have to go with the new album too. Exciting!

I love Cher, even more than Madonna.

People think she just does gay dance music coz all they know really is her hit “Believe”, but if you look through her back catalog she has done so many styles and genres, and a lot of her music isnt even “gay”.

She’s really amazing and such an icon.

As with Madonna and Whitney…..I feel that Cher’s best music was during the 80′s…..Heart Of Stone is by far her best album!!!!!!!!

Cher Has Gone Through Long Periods Of No Exposure To Radio Airplay For Her Entire Career & Even Though Trends In Music Have Changed Drastically Over The Last 5 Decades, Radio Has Always Seemed Glad To Welcome Her Back To The Airwaves, Circa 1971, 1979, 1987-1990 & 1999.
Of Course It Will Depend On The Song & The Production As To How Well It Will Be Recieved, But I Certainly Would Not Count Out Another Top 40 Or Top 10 Hit For Her. Although Her Last Album “LIVING PROOF” Did Not Do As Well As “BELIEVE” Her Fans In America Made It The Highest Chart Entering Album Of Her Career, Entering At #9. Since Then Her Worldwide Fan Base Has Grown In Numbers. If Anyone Can Pull It Off It Would Be Cher!

love cher shes amazing shes made some mistakes dont we all fucking diva you rock

  • Todd

Cher will abso fucking lutely make this her top album ever. No other artist can stand in her shoes.
She continually reinvents herself. The big question is how will she make her spectacular entrance in her new concert tour? Loved the chandalier during her farewell tour, but love the halogram and the “evil kenival deathmobile” she currently opens with at her classic show in Vegas……she continues to “climb highest mountains and run through the fields” only to continue to amaze us! You rock bitch!

  • http://PROPHETBLOG.NET NICHOLAS EDGEWORTH

LOVE CHER WHOSE DONE SO MANY AMAZING THINGS KEEP ON STEPPING WITH YOUR LIFE

  • Brian

I am looking forward to her new album, she is always reinventing herself, which keeps things interesting. I’ve been to the farewell tour & the never can say goodbye farewell tour, and enjoyed each one. Wish I could have seen her in Vegas.
Even though her Believe album was the biggest seller, Living Proof is my favorite, those songs are fantastic. See you soon BABE.

  • Milo

I love Cher! She has always come out with great stuff, so I’m expecting something FANTASTIC!

I am very excited about this release, but I do kinda wish it was going to be a dance album though!

  • GaryO

I love Cher!! I have been one of her biggest fans since the ’60′s. She is absolutely wonderful and beautiful. I have all of her albums, CD’s, tapes, etc… and I can’t wait until the new one comes out.
