Check Out My K-pop Coverage on Popdust

Hey y’all.

This is just a quick post to let you know that I’m now covering K-pop for Popdust. I basically do all of the K-pop content there except for the PSY stuff. You can catch a lot of K-pop stuff on Popdust that doesn’t make it onto The Prophet Blog, like Juniel’s amazing new single, A-JAX’s iconic No. 188 smash “2MYX”, why Scooter Braun should think twice about signing HyunA, and of course, the story of my life otherwise known as Gavy NJ’s “Pretty” music video.

Of course, I’ll still be covering K-pop here in my usual vulgar, hyperbolic style, it’s just that now you can read even more K-pop coverage from me. I’ll still reply to you guys in the comments, too, so you won’t feel like your No. 1 online crush (that would be me) has abandoned you for a fancier website.

Please repost articles here. popdust users are dumb, frustrating, and literal. I live for this blog’s comment section.

What will be the difference between your coverage there and your coverage here? I’m confused why you don’t post both like at allkpop?

  • theprophetblog

    Thanks!

Because Popdust pay me, it’s a job with requirements, whereas AKP don’t pay their reviewers which is why I only wrote there occasionally and double posted stuff.

While I’m at Popdust I’ll have the opportunity to cover more K-pop content than I do here, and it’ll be a bit more professional and fun. But you’ll still see stuff on here that isn’t on Popdust, but my stuff here will be more opinionated and personal than the Popdust coverage.

Congratulations, proph! On a barely related but definitely irrelevant note…have you seen V-Factory’s Love Struck? It came out in 2009. I for no good reason read some article on Asher Monroe who came out with that generic Glad You Came 2. The article said he was in a pop/R&B boy band. I checked it out and saw 5 white guys dancing in some underground scene like an early TVXQ. It was insane. An A&R developed boy group that didn’t hit, I guess.
