Cassie previews second single “Money On Love”

Holy shit. Cassie only dropped her new single “King Of Hearts” last week, and she’s already preparing for her follow-up. It’s really all or nothing with this girl!

Cassie’s been out doing a tonne of promo for “King Of Hearts” (which is totally critically-acclaimed – check out Spin magazine comparing it to Robyn and Radiohead), and during one of her stops, she was kind enough to preview her defining new single “Money On Love”.

Many of you will remember “Money On Love” when half of it leaked in demo form under the title “Don’t Lose It”. It’s a twist on her old urban sound, with swagged-out Hip-Hop that segues into a beautiful acoustic drop on the hook.

Brilliant!

This was one of the best songs to come out of camp Cassie over these past few years, and I can’t believe it’s getting the single treatment. I’m also confused as hail as to what the fuck is going on with her promo campaign with another single being previewed so soon. Was “King Of Hearts” just buzz to let people know she’s back? Is Cassie pulling an Usher and pushing one single at pop and one single at urban? The people would like to know.

    Based on the King of Hearts video it looks like the label spent some money on that song so do you really think they will only consider it a “buzz” single?
