Cassie premieres new single “Balcony”

With Cassie’s Rock-A-Bye Baby mixtape on the way, it looks like we now have the first promotional single from the project, “Balcony”.

Most of you will remember the Young Jeezy assisted cut from early May when a tagged version leaked online, but now the official version has surfaced after Cassie uploaded it to streaming services like Spotify, MySpace Music, and Rdio this weekend (complete with the artwork you see above).

“Balcony” sees Cassie stepping into Noah “40″ Shebib territory, with a sensual alt-urban beat that sounds like it was plucked straight off of a Drake album. Rico Love penned the racy lyrics about public lovemaking, and Young Jeezy injects some much-needed masculine energy into the song, providing the perfect springboard for Cassie’s soft cooing to bounce off of.

So, I guess we should chalk this down to about the millionth completely flaw-free song that Cassie has recorded? Has this woman ever even done a bad song? Don’t mention “Let’s Get Crazy”, because I’m still pretending that never happened.

    Yeah Cassie’s song are epic… this one is a great addition to her almost flaw-free discography. (I hated Let’s Get Crazy and Summer Charm) xD

    The song is hot but I can’t help to wish they used a rapper with a smoother delivery or just made the song solo… Jeezy’s voice isn’t sexy at all to me. It just reminds me of drug dealers and gunshots.

    I couldn’t agree more with you. Jeezy’s voice didn’t fit with cassie’s. She is there all sexy and then he shows up with that lung cancer voice. Just hated his voice.

    I feel like the only way Cassie can make a comeback is if her, Ciara, Keri Hilson, and Jojo all team up on the same song like how their be like 8 rappers on 1 song nowadays lol.
