Carrie Underwood OWNS the Billboard Music Awards with “Blown Away”

Don’t ever count out Carrie Underwood. The country diva is often unfairly overlooked when it comes to the best female singers and performs in the industry today, so it’s all the more sweeter when she gets on stage at awards shows and slays every other chick on the performance bill.

Carrie reminded America why they made her their Idol at the Billboard Music Awards tonight, where she delivered an earth-shattering rendition of her new single “Blown Away”.

Carrie even outshone the original American Idol Kelly Clarkson (by a large mile, I have to admit), unleashing her almighty vocals in studio quality and bringing the audience to its feet for a standing ovation.

In short, she fucking KILLED it.

    Kelly and Carrie on the same stage. my life is complete now. but i do think Proph is right. Carrie outshone Kelly with this performance. still love both of them.

    Carrie did good, but let’s not front, Kelly can sing Carrie underneath the tractor  on the farm she was raised on. Kelly sounded hoarse during her performance, but she still did a good job.

    I’ve been here for Kelly since she auditioned in Dallas all those years ago, but Cween Carrie KILLT it. The visual was simple but beautiful, her dress was awesome, and those notes?!

    BITCH, you bettah DO DAT.

    Simply put – hauntingly flaw-free.

    Kelly gave Carrie her 10s on Twitter too, so the fact that there’s no shade between these twanged Idols is #amaze.
