Brown Eyed Girls’ Jea to collaborate with Eric Benét

Brown Eyed Girls leader Jea will soon get the chance to collaborate with her favorite artist Eric Benét . The popular American R&B/Soul singer confirmed on his Twitter account today that he and the talented BEG songstress will “collab very soon”.
Benét will release his sixth studio album The One in June, but Jea doesn’t appear on the already-released tracklisting. That hints that the collaboration could in fact be for Jea’s own solo album, which is rumored to be scheduled for release some time this year.
I was beginning think that Nega Network had shafted Jea and weren’t going to give her a proper solo record, but news of this Benét collaboration has made me more hopeful. Jea’s one of the best and most underrated female vocalists in K-Pop, so I’d love to hear her snatch some wigs with a vocal-based soul/ballad album.
In other BEG news, members Ga-In and Narsha are currently working on their next solo projects, while the group itself is rumored to be in the very early stages of preparing their next comeback.
In the meantime, while we wait for new music from Jea, check out the BEG diva slaying during an episode of Immortal Song II from earlier in the year.
