Britney Spears working with the Nervo Sisters on new album.

I got told this a while ago but was holding off until it was confirmed, but now thanks to the wonderful Neon Limelight I can go right on ahead!

In a new interview with Neon Limelight about Rihanna’s next LP, writing-production duo NERVO (Aka The Nervo Sisters) have confirmed that they’ve worked with Britney Spears.

The Nervo Sisters are best known for penning Kelly Rowland’s international dance smash “When Love Takes Over”, but they’ve also worked with Ke$ha and Pixie Lott. Most recently though, they worked with Kylie Minogue on her highly-anticipated Aphrodite album.

The duo didn’t elaborate on what they’ve done for Britney, but I have it on reliable word that Britney’s people were very interested in a lot of the material that didn’t make the cut for Kylie’s album — including one of the NERVO tracks.

Could Britney have bought up one of Kylie’s ‘Aphrodite’ leftovers?

If you remember correctly, Kylie was offered “Toxic” for her Body Language album, but turned it down for unknown reasons. Britney then used it for her In The Zone and the rest is history.

With collabo’s with everyone from Darkchild and Max Martin to Rusko and possibly even Sia, Britney’s next album sounds like it’s shaping up to be incredible!

    Yes she does, everybody does, it’s how the industry works. It’s very normal for an artist to pass on a song then have someone else do it.

    It’s true! “Toxic” was offered to Kylie but she took “Red Blooded Woman” instead! I’d be surprised if she does the left over. Just like I read somewhere that “Get Out of My Way” wasn’t written for any particular artists both Britney and Kylie wanted it but the producers/writers chose Kylie.

    Great! That means that Starsmith (“Starry Eyes”, “Hollywood”) may be working with Brit since the Nervo song for Kylie was produced by him!

    Now that you mention Sia again, I realised that ballads that didn’t make the cut for Blackout like Baby Boy and To Love Let Go is VERY similar to Sia’s sound :)

    I wonder how Toxic would be if Kylie was on it. Like I can barely imagine that. Like how …baby one more time was suppose to go to TLC? I can’t even picture them singing that. I think by now Britney has a good ear on what she wants her music to sound like, especially now with people recycling beat and lyrics and what not. Like she has a good handle on her music so I’m interested to see what’s good.

    I think you never can tell what a ‘leftover’ song would have done if it was given to the first choice.

    Look at umbrella, I think it was first offered to Mary J Blige… I can’t imagine it would have had the same impact as it did for Rihanna.

    Same for Baby One More Time. It was a combination of a good song and the hype of newcomer Britney that made the song blow up.

    The Nervo girls did not write “Too Drunk To Fuck” and I have it from one massively famous topline that they tried in vain to write with – they are all hype and are “annoying”. Sour Grapes???? and they got massively lucky with the guetta song… it only takes one tho’!!! Anyway they are in demand – does anyone know about their own record on virgin – does anyone care? I find it wierd when artists want to write for other artists, it shouldn’t happen… do they just sling them something not quite as good as they would use???
