Where's M!ssundaztood and Stripped? Those two albums along with Justified defined pop for this decade. I don't understand how this being a UK site would forget M!ssundaztood and Stripped when they were so successful and the best.

Kaleidoscope was technically released in 1999, does it qualify? That's one of my favorites though

Madonna is at #29 with Confessions on a dencefloor..

Anyway, I still think that Britney's best and the most elaborated album is In The Zone...

Well they had the main urban stuff like Amy Winehouse, Jay-Z etc.

GaGa hasn't changed the face of pop, well her MUSIC hasn't anyways, but I guess her image and performance has definitely made an impact. The Fame lacks the edge of blackout, and the substance of other big pop albums.

Obviously there were good albums left off this list, which is ALWAYS going to happen, but this was one of the best lists I've seen. They left off some great pop albums like Stripped, born to do it, and Kaleidoscope, but they still included other great ones. I didnt really see any crap on here that made me be like "OMG HOW DID THAT MAKE THE LIST".

but you've gotta admit, no matter how much you dislike gaga, that her album has changed pop music. She is the future of pop. i'm not the biggest rihanna fan, but i think her music is very influential. and as much as i LOVE blackout, u cant be serious that an album like that made the list and some of the best pop albums of the past few years didnt make it. seems like this mag is just throwing names on just to say that they have a mainstream artist on the list. and funny, i didn't see much R&B music on this list (even though a bunch of today's biggest hits are influenced by Hip Hop and R&B)

Come on gaga is crap her album wouldnt even made the list even if it was released 3 years ago.

it's so nice to see Britney getting recognition, before her breakdown no one even bothered to give her some recognition, a bit weird. Blackout should be higher IMO, I think it defenetly is the best album of the decade, I just can't get over that album.

LMAO @ mad Beyonce stans!

this list has nothing to do with Pop music. this list is bogus. Let's wait for a real POP magazine to rate this decade. Half those artists are just there. and you've gotta be smoking something if you think the way they are. they are missing some really incredible albums that changed POP culture. First we've gotta define Pop. Next weve gotta look at the many changes Pop has been through this past decade. Then we compile a list of note worthy albums and music that has, in fact, changed it. I respect the fact that they've used some lesser known artists, but 1, that's not pop, and 2 the popular music that they included wasn't deserving of their position.

It's pop music and yes, Blackout deserves to be up there (although I like In The Zone a LOT more than Blackout). This is a very good list. We are not talking about vocalists, depth, or anything like that, we are talking about pop and pop stars and everyone on this list and their albums are all good examples of pop at its finest.
