Britney & Hilary: Together at last!

Two of my fave pop princesses, Britney Spears and Hilary Duff, came together last night when they both attended the Southern Style St Bernard Project event in Beverly Hills.

The event was a private Southern dinner held to raise money for Hurricane Katrina, and it was hosted by none other than Britney herself. I wonder if Godney added her own personal touch to the menu and served the guests oily cheese grits and lukewarm Starbucks? That delicious combo would probably send poor Hilary running to the toilet all night; she doesn’t have Britney’s iron stomach, hardened from years of drive-thru cuisine and cigarettes.

In other Brit-Brit news, her biggest fansite Breathe Heavy are reporting that the masturbation anthem “I Wanna Go” will be the third Femme Fatale. “I Wanna Go” is like the “If U Seek Amy” of Femme Fatale, and it’s always been pretty obvious that it would be a single. My (impossible) dream is that “How I Roll” will be released at some stage — every pop star, DJ, and producer under the sun will be dying to do a cool remix to that tune.

Meanwhile, Hilary is preparing to shoot her heavily delayed Bonnie & Clyde remake, writing her next best-selling novel, and still umming and aahing about saving the music industry with a comeback album.

    Godney used to have breast implants when she was much much younger but then they took them out later. I don’t think she’d get them these days, she isn’t really into that whole superficial plastic surgery scene. It’s not her style, she’s more down to earth.

    That’s the thing about Britney. No matter how bad she looks one day the next she can look a complete 180 and then some. She’s always pretty she just does not care about how she looks, which is fine if you ask me. She still pulls out all the stops when it’s needed like during the red carpet.

     ”I wanna go” is pop crack. But I’m not caring about this being a single, because I know Britney will not do what it takes to ensure the song is as big a hit as it has the potential to be. She won’t do the damn thing in the video. She probably won’t ‘perform’ it ‘live’ between now and when her tour kicks off. And she won’t promote it. So I’m left thinking: what is the point? I’m tired of this chick letting hot songs go to waste as singles.

    “How I roll” needs to be ‘Femme fatale’ single number 4, because it’s just a banger. Plain and simple. That beat goes SO harrrrrrrrrrrrrrd! It’s the only joint on the album which Urban clubs and radio would spin, so it’s a good look – seeing as Britney often always comes with that one song from each album which crosses over onto urban playlists.
