BIGBANG’s T.O.P. kisses G-Dragon and Seungri on TV special.

I was originally supposed to post right after it happened, but I had a hectic week and then went on hiatus, so it slipped through the cracks until today.
At the end of last month to promote their new album Tonight, Korea’s biggest boy band BIGBANG filmed a parody of the popular K-Drama Secret Garden to coincide with a TV special centered around their comeback. The parody included all the members playing various characters from the show and acting out some of the famous scenes, which included not one, but two guy-on-guy kisses. First was G-Dragon, who was playing the role of a female character and had to lock lips with T.O.P, who kissed away some foam he had on his top lip from a coffee. G-Dragon also dressed up as a woman in one dream scene, and in another he did sit-ups with the help of T.O.P, which involved them nearly pashing with each crunch.
But that wasn’t it for T.O.P, who later had to act out a full on smooch with BIGBANG member Seungri in a hilarious scene where two characters had switched bodies.
Although the show was done in a satirical context, it’s still reasonably rare to see men kissing on TV, whether in Asia or America, so it was a bold move on BIGBANG’s part. It is becoming a little more commonplace now, though, with both Glee and Gossip Girl among some shows to depict some male lip locking, but I can’t exactly see Usher or Justin Bieber having the balls to make fun of themselves in this way.
In other BIGBANG news, their mini-album Tonight sold over 100,000 copies in its first week out. It debuted at No.3 on Billboard’s World Album Charts, and cracked the top thirty of Billboard’s Independent Album Chart, despite only being available on iTunes, receiving no promotion, and having less than five days of the sales week to chart.
Anyway, check out BIGBANG’s boy kisses below if you haven’t seen them yet.
