BEHIND THE SCENES: Alicia Keys “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” music video!
Alicia Keys has granted Billboard an inside look at her new music video for “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart”, which is the second single from her upcoming album The Element of Freedom (Dec 15).
She reveals that the concept of the video involves her having super powers which allow her to heal the sick, but it leaves her unable to physically touch anybody. It gets more complex from there so check it out below.
Who else but Alicia Keys would cast herself as a magical superhero that goes around curing the sick?
The video sounds great though. It’s a really interesting concept and is definitely something that nobody else is doing right now, plus it’ll match the epic and powerful nature of the song. I just hope that it isn’t too OTT because if it is it’ll distract from the emotion of the song.

Sounds like what Brandy did with “Right Here” being the guardian angel, showing up to brighten others days & guide them.
The concept for healing the sick would work if the song was inspirational but with a line like “no ones ever shut it down like you” and “making her body feel heaven bound” is her power sexual healing

i imagined the video would be black and white with her lying in bed. then you see her (or her spirit) sneak into her ex’s house and lye down next to him and his new lover. of course they’d be some performance scenes, but the concept would be her stalking her ex but not really wanting to but that’s what she has to do to get thru the night.
