Auf der Maur premieres new music video and readies sophomore album
Whilst Courtney Love is trying to put together her new solo album Hole’s next album, former Hole-bassist Melissa Auf der Maur is busy doing her own thing and has just released the video for her brand new single “Out of Our Minds”.
The clip comes across as a little tongue-in-cheek and B-movie, and whether it’s intentional or not doesn’t matter because it really works and acts as an exciting prelude to Auf der Maur’s sophomore album Out of Our Minds.
The album, or “multi-media project” as Auf der Maur is calling it, will come complete with a 28-minute HD film starring and conceived by Melissa herself, as well as a limited edition comic book and a picture disc vinyl.
It’s exciting and innovative packaging like this that make you want to go out and buy albums again rather than just download them for free. I bought her first album and I’ll definitely be buying this one!
Out of Our Minds is due instore March 23.
