Amerie shoots “More Than Love” video with Fabolous
Contrary to popular belief Amerie’s In Love & War isn’t quite dead just yet, with new photo’s surfacing online from the set of the albums new single “More Than Love” featuring rapper Fabolous. You can listen to the track above.
What happened to “Pretty Brown” with Trey Songz?
I’m shocked that they’ve given Amerie a new video after the album debuted at #46 on the charts with only 12k sold. I have a feeling that Amerie is funding the majority of these videos herself since she’s signed to her own label Pheenx Rising, which is under Def Jam.
Maybe instead of churning out videos and singles though Def Jam and Amerie could’ve focused on actually promoting the ones they had out? Amerie isn’t Britney Spears, she can’t just throw out a video and have it go number one. She needs promotion.
Anyways regardless of the sales and promotion In Love & War is a fantastic album and I’m glad that it’s getting more videos. It’s just a shame that there probably won’t be anybody around to watch them…

I feel bad for Amerie cause I really like her, she isn’t super talented but she CAN sing & she CAN entertain & she’s a decent dancer, she writes music as well.
The problem with her she doesn’t NEED to be main stream, she was at her best during the WHY DON’T WE FALL IN LOVE cicra
This is the jam from Love and War, and she is smart to build off the momentum of Fabolous’ great energy and success right now.
There might still be hope left to make Love and War a slow, sleeper hit album. *maybe*

As much as i’d love to blame Def Jam for this mess the truth is even with heavy promo (her last album) she still couldn’t get big numbers (none in her case). Maybe the U.S just don’t get Amerie.
Like i keep saying the fuck up comes in Def Jam not promoting her in countries where she has a strong following. It makes no sense at all.
Her first 2 albums on SONY did great in the US markets. Amerie doesn’t have international hits. She needs the US market. It’s her biggest market.
Def Jam did nothing for her. That 12k first week is embarrasing. Independent artists do better than that.
I think it’s too late to save the project, but maybe this can be a minor hit for her like “regret” was for Letoya.
I SWEAR THE RADIO IS AGAINST PLAYING HER. I CALL CONTENTLY TELLING THE RADIO STATIONS TO PLAY WHATEVER SONG SHE GOT OUT LIKE MORE THAN LOVE AND THEY NEVER PLAY IT. IT GETS TIRING LIKE WHY IS THE RADIO NOT FEELING HER AT ALL THIS TIME AROUND…BUT I AM HAPPY SHE IS BRAKING HER 2 VIDEOS TO AN ALBUM THING NOW WE GONNA HAVE 3 FOR THIS ONE!!!
Requesting songs on radio is a waste of time lol. It doesn’t work like that. Radio programmers decide what’s played based on relationships with labels. Besides satellite and college stations, requests are a waste of time.

I really feel for this girl but she’s choosing all the wrong singles..hope this video and new single help to revive this album because I still want “The Flowers”, “Dear John” & “Diffrent People” to become singles so people can see her album as a solid project & go out a cop the CD. If this Single “More than Love” picks up airplay and actually does something a Re-realse would be well deserved and prefect for her to redeem herself!=D
