50 Cent moves album forward after early leak. “I’m expecting it to do good!”

With 50 Cent’s new album Before I Self Destruct leaking almost a month before it’s scheduled release date of November 23, the rapper has been forced to push the album forward to November 16 in order to combat illegal filesharing.

“”I’m pushing the record up; it’ll be out on the 16th. I’m expecting it to do good because of the response I’ve heard on the web. I feel good that it was leaked in its entirety, in sequence. So people can hear my vision.”

I’ve already downloaded this but I haven’t listened to it properly yet. It sounds good so far though, but not as good as some of the other people coming up. His last album Curtis sold almost 700k first week and it wasn’t even that hot. How much do you think this one will do?

    This album is a mess! 50 cent is everything that is wrong with rap & the funny thing is on this whack ass album he still refers to himself, eminem & dre as ‘the kings’. Hello? Wake up, It’s not 2003 anymore.

    I have it as well, but still haven’t listened to it. I love Baby By Me, but even so, I’m not checkin for him. And I think the rest of the world is pretty much like that as well. I don’t see him going far. At least when he released Curtis, his name was still semi-hot. I really don’t feel like he’s hot anymore, especially with the HUGE amount of new rappers and styles in the game – Cudi, Drake, Kanye, Weezy, Hova, Timbo…. even Soulja Boy. I’d say all of them are WAY hotter than 50 right now… he’s got a lot of competition.

    i downloaded and listened and it was wack, just 3 tracks and they weren’t nothing special.. i even second guess downloaded it, that’s how much no one cares. It leaked and everyone’s like “oh really…….” I hope he flops because his ego is too big and he has a mouth on him, still dissing folks on track 4-nearly every beef he has is simply unnecessary!
