2NE1 makes an explosive return with “I Love You” live on Inkigayo

2NE1 brought the awesomeness to Inkigayo tonight with their first live performance of their new single “I Love You”.

Papa YG is a total diva and stops his major artists from promoting too heavily on music programs. That’s bad for the super stans, who don’t get to see their faves perform fifty million times per week, but the upside is that the few live performances they do have are usually extravagant and high in quality, and you can’t get more extravagant than 2NE1′s “I Love You” comeback stage.

CL walked out with a screeching parrot on her shoulder, and then the group performed with live swans swimming in ponds on the stage.

But all this marvelous animal cruelty aside, the best thing was that I could actually hear all of the girls singing. Last era, their backing track drowned out all their voices, but this time around, CL and her three assistants came through loud and clear.

Of course, as with all 2NE1 performances, the choreography wasn’t particularly difficult or impressive, but the group always makes up for it with their ‘swag’ and repeated hair flips.

for that there’s something called backdrop videos and images. the animals there made it look like a zoo… more ridiculous than miley cyrus’s “can’t be tamed”… but wait at least SHE was the animal. no problems about 2ne1, just the animal thing is idiotic.

fact indeed… and when i finally got past the annoying fans i could see that myself. the problem is that crazy fanatic stans usually have no argument except trashing everyone else compared to their faves. i’m music fan, i give no fuck about the idol system – i don’t worship artists anymore… i’m too old for that

Gurl this ain’t a Maybelline commercial. She wasn’t born with the magical ability pussy pop. 2ne1 are no different than any other girl group when it comes to flaunting their bodies and using sex appeal.

Ohkay, well fine. You win. ._.

What are YG doing with Bom lately? Feels like she’s been stagnant since “To Anyone” promo wrapped. Dara on the other hand sounded great & looked gorgeous! She’s been improving steadily since the 2nd mini/”Lonely”.

    Now, CL & the parrot…LOL

Can someone tell me who that one male dancer is that starts the song with Minzy & CL?? I.MUST.HAVE.HIM!!!!!!!!!

Bom was lagging behind the other 3 in this cmback stage, imho.

2NE1′s been “CL and the Clouds” for a long time. She gets WAY too much screentime and far too many lines, and as a result, the other girls are fading away (or trying desperately to be “ero”, like Minzy).

Also – shame on them for using those birds in their performance, especially that poor terrified parrot.

    The poor bird
looked like it was trying to fly away but couldn’t because it’s feet were trapped in something :(

I’d like to say that I loved Dara’s part the most in the whole song and she did a pretty decent job of hitting her notes for the performance. People just go along with the “untalented” label when the girl is making an effort to hit some notes.

Anyways, I definitely agree that the dancing was not impressive and Inkigayo always goes along with YG’s “club-camera” shots. You should see their concert it was a gong-show with the lights and the camera angles.

sorry,I don’t have anything against you but when you compare T-ara live and 2NE1…that just seems so wrong in so many ways, are you being serious right now? :)

I don’t think Dara is as talented as the other members of 2NE1, but it’s a bit much to say that she isn’t talented at all. Anyway, I liked the intro for the sheer fact that CL would have blown the house down by just her rapping and stage presence alone. The quality of this performance was off the wall and I really wish that they’d have released new music, because their performance at the end year concerts was so bad (except the one with Lee Hi; that one was snatching weaves left and right). Why do you do this to us 2NE1? WHY?!!!?!!?!?!
